DeSoto Parish Police Jury Office of Community Services (OCS) provides a variety of opportunities for low-income households to increase their household stability and self-sufficiency levels by providing clients with emergency services such as food, shelter and safety from the elements and abusive, life threatening situations.

Additional non-emergency services we provide help our clients become self-sufficient such as education and employment opportunities, financial help (family budgeting classes, tuition assistance). Family stability services such as weatherization, utility, clothing and counseling services in addition to Section-8 housing, emergency shelter and Veteran's services.
